What is Albany Parents Together?
Albany Parents Together (A.P.T) is a fund raising group run by a group of approximately 15 parents. The aim of A.P.T. is to raise money to buy extra resources and equipment for the children, such as playground resources and equipment.
What does Albany Parents Together do?
The group was established in April 2015. Since then we have raised money through donations from parents at the various events we have held. We have raised the money by holding Non- uniform days, monthly bake sales, weekly ice-lolly sales, we had two stalls at the Summer BBQ and the Year 5/6 music group sang on Albany Road and at Tesco Extra at Christmas which was thoroughly enjoyed by the shoppers, staff, parents and children. We are very grateful to everyone that has supported these events. More recently we have had a Biryani Friday and a cinema night and are always looking for new ways to raise money and new volunteers.
How can I get involved with A.P.T?
For A.P.T. to continue we really need more people to help with the events. Getting involved with an event usually means spending approximately 30 minutes setting up the tables/stall and up to 1 hour selling the goods and tidying away. The float and all other equipment is provided. Children are welcome to be with you behind the stall. If you would like to be involved please leave your name, email address or phone number with your child’s class teacher or Mr Howlett. We look forward to seeing some new faces.
