Home Learning Plans

Below you will find our school closure policy which shows you how we intend on supporting the children's learning during any school closure. We are in a very unusual situation and have been working to put activities and resources together for your children. We are also trying to signpost you to different learning activities that may benefit your children. The policy shows what activities will be published on your child's class page each week.

Your child will be sent home with a learning pack today which will include some learning resources, exercise books, pencil, pen, ruler & additional reading books to ensure the activities are accessible. If you have a computer/tablet there will also be digital learning opportunities available to you as we move forward. Your child's class teacher will also be sending each pupil an email to their Hwb accounts which will mean that your child/you as parent can make contact if required. These communications will be focussed on learning activities only.

DIGITAL SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES - May 1st 2020

Please see this quote from the Welsh Education Minister - ‘No child or family should be left behind because they don’t have access to technology. 💻 Today, I’m pleased to announce £3m to support learners who don’t have access to an electronic device or the internet at home’.

Thank you to those that completed the Schoop survey last week. If you did not complete the survey and your children do not have access to devices or internet at home please email HowlettW@Hwbcymru.net to inform school.

In addition to this teachers will be asking about I.T equipment at home in their phonecalls. If you have not received a phone call since the school closure it is possible that we don’t have an up to date number. We already have some devices available that school can loan out to support home learning. Firstly they will be loaned to families with no device available for home learning. Please email HowlettW@Hwbcymru.net for further information or to update contact information.Best wishes. Mr H
