In November some pupils went to see Mr Howlett after seeing a video about Anti-Bullying Ambassadors online. They thought it could be something that would be great for Albany and asked if they could be introduced. After some research into the role of Anti-Bullying Ambassadors we have decided to introduce them to Albany. Children in years 3-5 had the opportunity to apply for this role and explain why they think they would be a good Ambassador. There were a very high number of applications and eventually 12 Ambassadors were selected.
Last Thursday the Ambassadors attended the Anti-Bullying Ambassador training at Bishop Perowne School in Worcester. This was a very exciting day for the children and they learnt about the role of an ambassador and carried out a number of activities and role-plays to prepare them for the role. The children are now going to produce an action plan showing how to effectively introduce this new pupil voice group in Albany. The Anti-Bullying Ambassador programme is part of the Diana Trust.
