As a school we collaborate on a range of projects with a range of other schools as part of a School Improvement Group (SIG). Over the past few years we have developed staff training, visited different schools and the pupils have been involved in Art and ICT projects. This year one of our aims is to share good practice and develop a greater understanding of Children’s Rights and what it means to be a UNICEF Rights Respecting School.
We are working with 5 other schools and the ultimate plan is to develop a fun Rights activity day for pupils in Grangetown Nursery School. Yesterday we took two pupils from each school on a team building day at Storey Arms. They made new friends and participated in exciting and challenging activities. We will now build upon this with the group meeting up again to plan the day at Grangetown Nursery.
Thank you to Storey Arms for this amazing opportunity and also to the staff and pupils at Coryton, Parc Lewis, Rumney, Severn and Tongwynlais Primary Schools. Look forward to seeing you all soon!
