This year we are working to develop our links and communication with our whole school community including strengthening links with parents. We have carried out a lot of research and this week have sent out a questionnaire to gather feedback on your views of the school and what you believe is going well or could be improved. We are hoping to have as many of these back as possible and use this information to make further plans along with the Governing body.
Some plans that are already in place for this academic year are parents meetings that will be focussing on the introduction of the new Literacy and Numeracy framework. We are also currently setting up 'Schoop', a new app to provide information for parents through smartphones and online. We are hoping that will be very effective in keeping members of the community informed of goings on at school - a key feature of this app is the ease of using it both for staff and parents and the fact that it has the facility to translate messages into over 30 languages.
