It's been a very busy January in Albany. Pupils across the school have been on a number of exciting educational visits and had the opportunity to meet and work with pupils from other schools and across the World. Reception have visited Pets at Home to learn about caring for pets and Year 1 have enjoyed experimenting at Techniquest.
Our Year 4 pupils went to Saint Fagans to experience school life as Victorian pupils did. The overall viewpoint was that the children would prefer to be in school today than the late 19th Century.
Year 5 and 6 are working with pupils from Roath Park Primary School by sharing Eco-days. Year 5 pupils from Roath Park have visited us in Albany and our Year 6 pupils will be attending an Eco-day at Roath Park tomorrow. These are fantastic opportunities for our pupils to work with pupils from local schools and develop their communication skills whilst learning the importance of caring for our environment and sustainability.
