  • Parent’s open event – Thursday 6th June 2019 – 2.30-4.30pm

I am sure that you are aware from the media that there are a number of significant changes taking place in Education in Wales at present. We would like to keep you informed of what we are doing through this process of change and ensure that the children continue to receive the best education they can with us at Albany. In order to share this information with our school community we will be holding an open afternoon from 2.30pm-4.30pm in the school hall. This will be an informal drop in event with tea and coffee available and an opportunity to discuss a variety of themes with staff from the school.

These areas will include;

  • Curriculum for Wales – the changing school curriculum
  • Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Bill – How are pupils at Albany with ALN supported at Albany?
  • e-Safety - How are children taught to stay safe online? Advice in this area
  • Teaching pupils with English as an additional language (EAL)
  • Pupil Voice Groups at Albany
