This year the children have been involved in some learning projects with other schools.
Digital Leaders Project
We work as part of a SIG (School Improvement Group) with six other schools. The digital leaders and pupils from these schools have worked together to create a collaborative ebook about keeping healthy. As part of this exciting project we have visited the Newport Dragons professional rugby team and interviewed the players about their training and keeping fit. Each school are creating one section of the ebook with our pupils focusing on keeping fit with workouts at Roath Rec and also the videos of the player interviews. We are looking forward to these being completed soon.
Ethical Citizens Project
As part of Curriculum for Wales we have linked up with some other Cardiff Schools on a project focusing on being ethical citizens and also exploring children’s rights. There are 12 pupils from year 4 currently involved in this project. The children have enjoyed visiting each other’s schools and working with pupils from different schools and sharing their ideas.
