This year the School Council have been working with Mr Howlett exploring the possibility of introducing a compulsory school uniform from September. Last Monday the Governing Body agreed that Albany Primary School will have a compulsory school uniform from September 2017. This will include the introduction of a different coloured jumper for year 6 pupils to provide the pupils with a sense of responsibility from the moment they enter year 6. This was something that the school council were very keen on following discussions with pupils in another primary school. The new Uniform Policy is in the Key Information area on the website. A letter will be going home this evening giving more information and outlining the key reasons behind the decision to make uniform compulsory.
