This week some pupils in year 5 and 6 have had the fantastic opportunity to participate in a Welsh National Opera workshop. This has been a valuable learning experience for the pupils. Year 2 visited Castell Coch on Tuesday and had a storytelling workshop based on Aesop's Fables. The children thoroughly enjoyed the stories and exploring inside Castell Coch. Classes 1 and 2 were once again out exploring on their visit to the museum. They went to see the dinosaurs to help them with their learning in class. There were some very big dinosaurs on show which were making some unusual noises.
Year 6 pupils visited Cathays High School as part of our transition project. This was an opportunity to see the kinds of activities that they will experience next year in high school. The children received a warm welcome and were given a very informative tour by some Sixth form students. There was also a Gymnastics demonstration, a music activity and a drama activity. These visits play a very important role in getting our children prepared for high school. Thank you very much to all the pupils and staff at Cathays High School.
