  • Welcome back

It has been an exciting first week in school. We have enjoyed welcoming our new Nursery and Reception pupils who are all settling in well at Albany. There have also been a number of new members of staff. We would like to welcome Miss Doidge and Mr Morgan who are working in year 5 and also Miss Davies who is working in Reception.

There has been a lot of work carried out around the school over the Summer including improvements to the outdoor learning area for the pupils and having some classrooms repainted. We are hoping to make very good use of our new minibus this term to enhance the children's learning, year 4 have been already been to visit Cardiff Bay this week.

Please can can all parents ensure that your children arrive at school by 8.55am every day. Attendance is still a key focus area for the school and evidence shows that pupils with the best attendance and punctuality have a greater chance of academic success.

We we are looking forward to a very successful year and I look forward to working to ensure your children have exciting and enjoyable learning experiences at Albany.

Mr Howlett - Acting Headteacher
