Wednesday 20th November 2019 marked 30 years since the introduction of the UNCRC. We celebrated this as a school. The Super Ambassadors and Rights Raccoons led an assembly and set competitions to design bunting to hang around the school to help with celebrations. The children judged the entries and the winning design for each year group won a certificate and a prize. Children and staff across the school wore blue to celebrate the event. Pupils in all classes participated in activities to learn and understand children’s rights. There were also practical challenges where children learned about the journey to water sources to collect water and carry it home. We held a special assembly on a Friday to find out what each class had done throughout the week to celebrate World Children’s day.
